About MEI.

The Malawi Engineering Institution was established through an Act of Parliament – MEI ACT no. 13 of 2019 as the authority of the engineering profession for qualifications, registration, and discipline in Malawi.

The board of directors of the MEI, inclusive of the President and Vice President, was elected on 26th February 2021 through the Annual General meeting. The disciplinary committee, and the Engineering registration council have been set up to undertake their critical role as the institution continues to establish its structures and operations.
